October menobundance retreat: Developing your menopause Toolkit
with Lisa Taylor-Swanson, Claudia Citkovitz and Donna Brooks
***NOW SCHEDULED FOR MAY 30-june 2, 2025***
Friday (3pm) to Monday (lunch), 20 hours CEU/PDA credit
Shutesbury, MA @ Sirius ECO-VILLAGE
Based on the success of our retreat last year, we are keeping all the elements that practitioners most loved – including the small size to facilitate deep connection, lots of time for Qigong and Bodywork, and a deep dive into biomedical and research info for those who don’t have it already. This year, we are adding new elements in a ‘buffet’ format that will let first- and second-time participants select their own amount and combination of practice-building and personal-resource-building course material.
We are also very excited to host Donna Brooks, a longtime therapist and educator in multiple approaches to embodied awareness, includings yoga, meditation and somatic movement. On Sunday she will teach 4 hours on working with the pelvic floor – 2 hours of work in our own bodies, then a break for lunch and conversation, followed by 2 hours of discussion and workshop with Lisa and Claudia on how to apply these insights in our acupuncture and bodywork sessions.
While Lisa and Claudia bring combined decades of deep study and expertise to the table, our aim is to make it all an intimate weekend conversation where colleagues at all levels can share and learn from each other’s experience. Between-class time is cultivated as carefully as in-class time, to foster a space of self- and group-care that is much needed these days.
